i’m for you
today marks two years as a mrs for me. five years ago i met a boy who eventually became my favorite friend over late-night bowls of lucky charms and apple jacks. a year and a half of pure fun, memorable moments, delightful surprises, and spiritual connection drew us closer, and we officially made the precarious transition to “couple.”
fast forward one more year-and-a-half period and we said “i do” during the most gorgeous, meaningful, fun celebration i could have dreamed of.
the ride so far has been at times beautiful & thrilling, at times discouraging & frustrating, but never boring. God blessed me with a husband who is a Christ-seeking, fun-loving, hard-working, good-looking, dedicated man…and even a cheesy romantic deep down.
my Love is the opposite of me in too many ways to count, but he allows me to stretch him as i allow him to reel me in. i’m grateful to share my life with him.
two years is hardly enough seasoning to offer any profound advice or thoughts on marriage, so i won’t even attempt to. we have, however, had plenty of time to discover how much we stand to learn. reflecting on the ways we have changed in two short years, and the things we have experienced together, i am eager to see what the future will bring us.
whatever it is, i know who i want by my side.
